This week on "Fox News Sunday": (10/11/09)

The economy, unemployment, and the government’s role in the private sector, this week Chris Wallace takes a look at where we are, and where we’re headed, on the road to recovery.  Last week’s unemployment numbers sent a jolt through what many were hoping was a slow and steady economic rise.  On Thursday new numbers emerged suggesting that the amount of newly laid off workers, claiming unemployment benefits, hit their lowest mark since January.  So where does the economy stand?  We’ll ask leaders from the world of business and two Governors of states that were hit hard during the economic downturn.

Segment 1:  Steve Wynn, Chairman and CEO, Wynn Resorts
    Gov. Jennifer Granholm, (D) Michigan
    Gov. Mitch Daniels, (R) Indiana
Mark Zandi, Chief Economist, Moody's Economy.com

Plus our Sunday Panel discusses the latest on the impending strategy for Afghanistan and the intense Congressional debate over Health Care Reform:

Bill Kristol – Weekly Standard & Fox News
Nina Easton – Fortune Magazine & Fox News
Liz Cheney – Former State Department Official
Juan Williams – National Public Radio & Fox News

And our Power Player of the Week making sure our skies are safe 24/7.

Power Player:  Deborah Hersman, Chairman, National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB)

Mr. Wallace. Steve Wynn criticizes the president for not doing more about job creation. Speaking as a laid off employee from Wynn Resorts, it seems that he has a great opportunity to put his money were his mouth was and keep his employees, but he like many billionaires, elected to line his own pocket at the expense of his dedicated workers. It seems the aim of business is to leach everything they can out of the ecosystem until the well is dry.

Chris, thanks for having Steve Wynn on the show. I was glued to the TV. He is so obviously more in tune with the real world than any 100 politicians you have ever had on your show. Jobs should be the focus of this Administration, no one working, no one left to tax. If politicians stopped campaigning for a few months and focused on doing their jobs, this country might have a chance.

You should have let Steve Wynn speak for the full half hour, he made more sense than any of the other three.

How can I get a transcript of everything that Steve Wynn said? I need to send it to my liberal democrat congressman who just doesn't get it. Mr. Wynn does get it, and he is great at communicating it!

Go Steve Wynn! I had the opportunity to spend 3 months in Vegas this year, and was already aware of his great business sense and successfulness. He is an asset to Vegas, employs many people and from first hand accounts he treats his employees well! I would definitely vote for him for President! Classy and successsful, but can relate to the problems we are facing. ( I did win a little off of one of your Wheel of Fortune machines, thanks)

Final Score: Steve Wynn 1, Governor Granholm 0 The Governor should take a jet to Las Vegas, stay at the Wynn Hotel and spend a week with Steve Wynn and learn Economics 101. Steve Wynn has created a billion dollar business, two of the finest hotels in Vegas, employees thousands of people. Governor Granholm has ruined the State of Michigan. Never amazes me, how politicians are experts on everything. Just write some legislation and all the problems will magically disappear.

Chris, how did u feel to have a guest speak the truth. Bring Mr. Wynn back. Could u please get a message to Mr. Wynn, he owes a debt to his country he should run for office or at least form a committee to find qualified citizens to run for office (I know juan wont like this because u have to have qualifications)I remember him saying the playing field has to be leveled. He is correct BUT for working folks - me being a white male in my 50's and being discriminated against - I also speak the truth.

Please have Liz Cheney on the panel regularly. She is eloquent and brilliant. Great show today. If only Mr. Wynn were govener of our state of Michigan, instead of Tax 'em Granholm. Happy Birthday, Chris.

I saw Steve on 60 Minutes a few weeks ago and thought he was great. After seeing him on Fox News Sunday, I think he may be the messiah!

Enjoyed your show 10/11/09--you need to have this steve wynn on your show more often--he talks with more savy than anyone I've heard so far on health care--I like his idea best

I think the segment of your last show this with Steve Wynn was incredible. Mr. Wynn was refreshing. He explained his beliefs in true people-speak. He was straight forward. He didn't talk around your questions as most politicians always seem to do. Moreover, I think he was right-on with the issue of the economy, its problems and the means to resolve them. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I'd love to see a lot more of this man on the air. I believe his opinions merit a real one-on-one interview

Chris, you didn’t give Steve Wynn enough time to state his case. You should devote your entire hour to one subject as does Glenn Beck or give Steve Wynn his own show. Governor Granholm is a great example of why the Democrats are in trouble. The government passing out money for welfare does not create jobs. Provide the stimulus money to business for tax relief and we will recover cutting the deficit in the process.

Steve Wynn was fantastic today He had command of the topic and the guts to tell it like it is. I completely agree with him and thought he outclassed all the other guests. We need him in D.C. NOW!! BTW, Happy Birthday Chris!

Chris: Mr Wynn had it right and Ms. Granholm showed just how ill informed and bone headed she is. No wonder Michigan looks a lot like California financialy. Additionally, your economist has a lot of book learning and NO common sense. Government never created anything of value for its citizens. Again, Mr. Wynn had it exactly right.
