    Rove McAuliffe Face-Off

This Sunday we had a "fair and balanced" debate about the White House strategy to attack FOX News.

The debate got heated between Terry McAuliffe, former Chair of the Democratic Party, and Karl Rove, former Senior Adviser to President George W. Bush.  But as Chris always advises guests before they go on-air, they were able to "break clean on the clenches."

Rove argued the White House strategy is unnecessary and demeaning to the President.

"I think this White House is dominated by Chicago- style politics, so if you don't like the questions that are being asked by Major Garrett or Wendell Goler or Chris Wallace, then you try and demonize Fox News," Rove said.

"Anita Dunn is making these charges because she's leaving at the end of the year.  This gives them a chance to send somebody out there to throw the grenades, turn on the flame thrower and then be gone at the end of the year," he claimed.

McAuliffe strongly defended President Obama and the White House, but left hope the President would again sit down with FOX News Sunday.

"Fox was the only broadcast station that did not broadcast his speech in front of the United States Congress.  You had some crazy show on about how to learn to dance. I think that was very problematic," McAuliffe said.  "President Obama's going to talk to all the networks.  He's going to go out there.  He loves competition.  He loves being engaged in the battle.  But he's got to deal first with those folks who are going to give him a fair hearing on health care," he added.

Rove explained there are lots of objectionable things said on other news channels for every president.  But that should not be the standard by which a White House determines whether or not it's going to "demonize" a news channel.

"They called it an enemy, a White House enemy.  That is over- the-top language.  We heard that before from Richard Nixon," Rove reasoned.

McAuliffe hit back hard.  "What is offensive is one of your top folks on Fox calling the president of the United States a racist on a news show."

"You have Glenn Beck, who is one of your big opinion leaders on Fox -- went on the morning show, a news show, and actually called President Obama a racist.  There is no place for that," McAuliffe countered.

Terry McAuliffe is a annoying PUNK. Someone should start an intense investigation into Global Crossings. McAuliffe made millions on that SCAM!!!!

Hypocrisy and irony -- it's the hypocrisy of the left that has converted me to Conservatism. Funny how Terry McAuliffe opined that Fox is just the mouthpiece for the Republican party. However, I didn't hear Karl Rove say he consulted with Michael Steele before he came on Sunday's show, BUT Terry McAuliffe DID talk to and get his talking points from the White House! For every Glenn Beck on Fox MSNBC has an Ed Schultz, and for every Sean Hannity there's a Kieth Olbermann spewing their vile leftist hatred and propaganda, but the administration and most of the people that hate Fox think MSNBC is just fine and dandy. And you know what? So do I. The only difference is, I actually believe in freedom of speech, so the fact that there's a leftwing news organization doesn't bother me. I can watch FOX if I don't like it. And you can watch MSNBC if you don't like FOX.

Some of these post give credence to the Rahm Emanuel's of the world thinking that Fox is just watched by right wing nut jobs. Write with intelligence realizing we are in an uphill battle for ideals that are going to protect and keep our country great. What you write will either help the cause or continue to give credence that we are unstable, idiots that watch Fox which we know is wrong.

If the White House is consistent with their ideology, principles and practice then they need to sever ties with MSNBC. If one is not consistent in their principles then they are not principles but a hatchet job.

If you are suppose to allow a guest to come on and share wrong information then you become an informercial and not a news show. Evidently the White House wants you to allow any information to be said whether they are true or not. Why would anyone want to tell deliberate misinformation? When one answers that question it becomes truly scarey. The impression from your guest this morning was that the White House wanted to use your show as a mouth piece with no regard for correctness.

SAD THAT THOSE OPPOSED TO FOX HAVE TO VILIFY ANY ONE WHO DISAGREES WITH AND THEN HAS THE GALL TO SUPPORT THEIR IDEAS WITH FALSE INFO AND STATS. I AM RETIRED MILITARY. I RETIRED EARLY WHEN I KEPT SEEING THE BODY BAGS RETURN FROM V.N. NOW HERE WE GO AGAINL THE TALABAN IS NOT OUR ENEMY IN AFGAN.ITS OBAMA, SO WE WILL PROCRASTNATE UNTIL THE PRESIDENT FINDS AN EXCUSE NOT TO SEND THE TROOPS REQUESTED BY THE GENERAL HAND PICKED. WHO WILL BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THE SERVICE MEMBERS LOST BECAUSE OF DELAY

...and you bet your ass i'm pissed at the Bush Crime Family. No weapons of mass destruction? Well, the I guess we're here to get Saddam Houssain! Then we find him hiding in a hole i the ground, pull him out and hang him. Mission accomplished? No,now it's about democracy in Iraq...for whom? 4-1/2 million Christians fled as refugees to Syria because they feard for their lives under the existing Iraqi conditions...George W should not get away with his war crimes...he should be tried and punished

Where were you far right wing lip-flappers when George W & Tricky Dick Cheney, Rumsfelt, et al, were putting our country on a fast track to hell? Furthermore, Ben Laden shold have been caught and executed within days of 9-11. Instead, George and his band of thugs attacked Iraq, which had nothing to do with 9-11. Wasted immeasurable resources in Iraq instead of Afghanstan where the enemy regrouped and grew.

The President and his Administration are supposed to be professional and leaders. The way they attack Fox News is anything but leadership. "Crybabies" is too kind a term at this point for this group. I have always respected the office of the Presidency. I cannot do so at this point.

Karl is a genius he managed to win in 2000 because of the Supreme Court and he lost both the House and the Senate-what a genius Turdblossom is. Why you idiots continue to slobber over this loser puzzles me. Self identified Republicans are at their lowest percentage since 1972-keep up the good work Karl!!!!

I love Fox -its like watching a GOP convention day after day after day well you get it. Katie Couric gets more viewers in a half hour than Oreilly and Beck COMBINED! nO WONDER THAT cLOWN bECK IS ALWAYS CRYING-WHAT A SHEMALE!

Chris was too soft on McAuliffe. He let Terry get away with deflecting the issue and ignoring the question. Karl tried to bring Terry back to the point of the discussion, but Terry wriggled-free each time. The point is that the White House is acting like a bunch of petulant arrogant children. I'm sure this isn't the first time an administration has put a media outlet in the "doghouse," but in doing so they're saying to half the country "we can do this without you," and that's annoying.

Fox is the best-accurate reporting(that Obama was in a madrassa) fair reporting (the only outlet Cheney would talk to after he shot his friend) and the best crop of criers (Glen Beck) I have ever seen-whats not to like? Why did Bush 43 refuse to be interviewed by Mike Wallace-the only President since Johnson to refuse. 53 percent of the vote and in 2012 60 percent you fools.

Who cares if Fox is right-wing. I am a Republican and it is the only channel I watch because Fox and Friends has not has a Democrat on in three weeks and every question Bill Hemmer asks with an idiotic question mark on his face for Stu Varney when the stockmarket is up 50% makes no sense. If the people figure it out the Dems will have 90 Senate seats. Remember., Fox predicted that McCain would win and that Scooter would not be convicted-oh well.

Karl Rove is a great spokesman-I hope Fix news has him on every fair and balanced day. It only serves to remind voters of the disaster he helped create. Please put him on every day for a fair and balanced look at politics. Lets see lets have Limbaugh on to counter Rove that is fair and balanced-what a joke.
