I wish the wise pundits would realize a truth, especially conservatives,THE SURGE DIED NOT WORK, it supplied stability, but the Iraqui People made a decision to join the "Free World" and stop the violence that was killing mostly Iraqis and destroying their land. Without such resolve, no country can be subdued. Unless the Afghani decide to join the civilized world, They will never live in peace. They are a Feudal society of Tribes which is more difficult to transform into a democracy....

This administration has not policy on anything. If it does not come from the speaker of the house it is no good. They cannot make a decision on anything and that is the change that will be in place until these people are out of office.

Regardings Levin's remark that Cheney's comments were out of bounds, Levin went on to state that "he(Cheney) has no credibility left with the American people in any event". Who is Carl levin to speak for "the American people"? Who does he think that he is????? Only the American people can speak for "the American people", not some smarmy hack politician.

The President should follow the in country military commanders recommendation, however, I do not find any fault with him taking a reasonable amount of time making his decision. One consideration is: do we continue to spread ourselves thin, while, the Iran situation still remains unpredictable. An Israeli unilateral strike, would draw the United States into at least a naval altercation with Iran. We have to be careful and have the right strategy in place.
