PC in Ft. Hood...I just finished reading Infidel by Ayaan Hirshi Ali. Her chapter on the Dutch reaction to 9/11 and the following tragedy with Theo Van Gogh should be read for great perspective on our current tragedy with Ft. Hood.
Panel Comment: This can't be connected to a organized terror plot. Problem is it does not matter. The great problem is an ideology in Islam that breads this kind of behavior. Political Correctness is a fatalistic/suicidal philosophy that is reaping havoc.
I wish Panel Plus was LONGER...
I think tomorrow's election will be tell-tale about the 2010 elections. It will reveal the power of everyday Americans who are fundamentally opposed to Obama and the congressional Democrats fiddling with far left wish lists while the economy burns.
America is more in tune with honest conservatism than it is with big government schemes and Tuesday's elections will reveal this in a glaring manner.
Thanks for the russhy piece .I don,t undestand how he can sit on your show so concerned about the troops where was his concrern when they being were being sent into harms way for what we now know was a lie.WOMD'S.Where was his concern about healthcare for the past eight years. He is not concerned about the troops or the average American .What is clear though is his hatred for the current leader of the free world.Who needs humility lessons fro a drug addict OR A COMMON CRIMINAL. HAIL TO THE CHEIF!
Panel Plus is great but too short. I think this discussion format is great and a good example of how topics can be discussed by different views and still keep a civil discourse. A Great Civics lesson keep it up.
Thanks for extending the discussion on Panel Plus. Any more time we can watch the Hume-Williams showdowns are time well spent. Terrific back and forth!
I think folks are waking up to the fact thsi president is still campaigning, he seems incapable of making a firm decision on the things that matter most.
Great discussion. If the republicans win the races in both virginia and new jersery and the conservative wins in NY-23, I believe the president's agenda is in danger. No amount of spin from the white house can change the facts. A grass roots revolution is headed their way. Blue dog democrats in the house better take notice or 2010 will be their waterloo..
This was my first time watching pannel plus... FANTASTIC!! My only complaint... Its not long enough. Thanks Fox for honest and civil debate.. loved the interview with Rush as well.
Why two PBSers on your discussion panel? We most always know what they are going to say. As for"get the last word" Juan,he gets the most mutes from me. When Bret begins to grimace I usually hit the button. I usually tolerate Mara and sometimes even appreciate her logic even though I rarely like it.
Chris Wallace rocks! Great Panel with relevance and truth. It is what it is all about. So little time these days, why waste it on propaganda and promotion; which it seems, has become journalism and politics.
Wow--this was my first viewing of Panel Plus and I had no idea how useful this online extension of the discussion would be. What a great idea--thank you Fox News. Very interesting discussion as well! I agree with the gentlman above-I would really appreciate a longer segment!
Love the panel, great insghts to multiple view points, done with great civility which is lacking on all other fronts. Thought Juan's comparison about Obama's lack of responsibitly for the H1N1 vaccine distribution failures to the ineffectiveness of "Bush's FEMA" was interestng...no matter who's in the office, does that not clearly illustrate the inablity of the Government to run any program effectively. Do you really think they'll do better with health care?
First time to Panel Plus. My only complaint is I wish it would go longer.
My wife and I almost always enjoy the panel because they can disagree with each other and stay civil. Thanks for providing a place where honest opinions can be expressed and debated.
I am mystified every time I hear discussions on any election wherein knowledgeable commentators say voters are voting on "the economy","healthcare","the war",or any other topic. What is never stated is the actual TRUTH, which is voters i.e. Americans, are vitally concerned, and voting about, our American FREEDOMS and LIBERTIES,now under siege by this administration.
Why doesn't some republican or commentator challenge the democrats assertion of how well medicare (gov healthcare insurance) has worked and how much people like it. Imagine paying into a system for 50 years, ages 15-65 and that system then pays 80% of allowable healthcare costs, so that you better have a backup healthcare plan to pay the difference!
I think the "silent no more" majority is watching these elections carefully -- and see them as an opportunity to say to Washington - CAN YOU HEAR US NOW???
Mara is right the Dems will live and die by what Obama does. Rahm Emanuel put the bits in their mouths and promised to lead them to the promised land. He had George Bush's unpopularity providing the tailwind. The problem for the Dems they thought they could be anti-abortion (something they will never have to vote on save for the provision in Obamacare) and liberal on all else and get re-elected. Not gonna' happen.
Chris Wallace is the host of FOX News Sunday, which airs on the FOX News Channel on Sundays at 6 p.m. ET and on your local FOX affiliate. Check here for listings.

I would love to play poker with Juan Williams and Brett Hume. Their facial expressions are priceless. In poker an obvious "tell".
