This week on Fox News Sunday (11/22/09)

This week on Fox News Sunday, Senate Democrats unveil their version for health care reform.  Senators are pouring over the just released bill and now the proposed legislation’s first key vote will take place during a special Saturday night session.  So will reform be able to clear this first hurdle?

Plus, President Obama continues to deliberate over the US’s future involvement in Afghanistan.  We’ll talk to four influential thinkers from the Senate’s highest ranks to get their thoughts on these and other important issues.

    Segment 1 Guests:

Sen. Lamar Alexander, (R) Tennessee / Chairman, Senate Republican Conference

Sen. Debbie Stabenow, (D) Michigan / Finance Committee

Sen. Kit Bond, (R) Missouri / Ranking Member, Select Committee on Intelligence

Sen. Arlen Specter, (D) Pennsylvania / Appropriations Committee

This week brought significant and controversial news for women about screening guidelines for two different types of cancer.  On Friday a new study recommended that women can delay their first Pap test for cervical cancer until age 21.  This announcement came on the heels of Monday’s news about breast cancer prevention, which instructed women to delay their first mammogram until age 50.  We’ll sort through both studies when we’re joined by a leading women’s health expert.

Segment 2 Guest: Dr. Bernadine Healy, U.S. News & World Report's Health Editor & Former Director of the National Institutes of Health (NIH)

And our Power Player of the Week is letting his voice be heard, in the battle to remake the Republican Party.

Power Player: Chris Chocola, President of Club For Growth

Thank you Dr. Healy for giivng us girls the STRAIGHT important information about Mammograms. I had stage 0 last summer due to close monitoring and went on to have a bilateral mastectomy. Also I did Fox Cavuto interview last summer as I did not trust Washington with what they would do!

It amazes me that Chris Wallace allowed this rude, crass, tacky, pushy, "me first", "I am the center of attention" Stabenow woman to dominate the conversation until there was hardly any time left to the other commentators. She has NO MANNERS! Oh, I forgot, she's a liberal Dem, of course, no manners or class. Do they provide her with diapers before she goes on, because that's about the maturity she and her leftist cohorts display on a regular basis.Jeez, someone needs to tell her to just GROW UP!

Why is it no one mentions anything about "TORT" reform. That if reformed would save millions each and every year, right from the start. They are going to tax and save till 2014. Did you ever see Congress, when there was money laying around, not to go out and spend it. Look at Social Security and what they did with that money.

seems like the "Betray us, move on" operators want to use this forum to make comments. Clever sloganeering will not change the facts that Americans are figuring out we will pay more and get less. Seniors lose their Medicare advantage, young healthy adults can expect to achieve a lower standard of living and less chances at individual success, and the next generation gets a whopping debt. Thank you OBAMA and Soros automatons! Now we know what you mean by hope and change.

Why don't you ask if this is good for the rest of us why is congress exempt? re: health care

Looks like a current strategy of the Dems is to cite the support of AARP, which of course does not reflect members views. AARP has just initiated a move to contact members. I don't know wat the plan was to be because I hung up on the automated call. I plan to cancel my membership based on their support of the Dems Health Care debacle pretending to represent me without my input. To seek it now is not enough and I have no faith that they would accurately reflect members cumulative positions.

How do I access the "after the show online discussion?"

To Mike Macmiy -- I agree with your suggestions; however, has neither the format nor the intent of being fair and balanced. It's all about the spin! They fully intend to be the "echo chamber" for a failed GOP that has proven it cannot lead, govern nor legislate. They are vainly grasping for a vanishing foothold in the political landscape. They are "funereal" not "fair". When you realize that, you will be amused by their shows rather than offended.

Always great entertainment as a conservative sit-com.

Why didn't you ask them to either Keep it simple & give us the same health care that Congress has or If this plan is so great why isn't Congress & the President included

The moderation of this program is a joke. I just don't understand why it is so difficult to follow your own mantra - your first segment today was shameful. Questions should be questions and not positions. Your guest should be allowed to answer equally. If your guests are goint to be cut-off, you should cut them off equally. And, finally, if you are going to challenge your guests answers, do so equally. Maybe you should think about only two guests so that a proper discussion can be held

Fox should apologize for flashing the news teaser for "Cancer Controversy" and sound effect under Senator Specter when he tried to make a point on HealthCare Bill and Afghan War this morning. That was either unfortunate director choice or a truly sick way of trying to undermine him. We deserve better.

Please!!! Do not have Debbie Stabenow on as a guest again. She is rude and ignores your requests for courtesy leaving the other guests out in the lurch.

Chris will paint the Democratic victory as a loss. Every step of the way, Committees, House vote and Senate vote Chris and Bill Kristol have been wrong-EVERY single time!!!Heres a Fox News Alert Chris-there will be healthcare reform. Chris why don't you ask the GOP why they passed a Medicare bill that was not paid for and added 235 billion to the deficit. It's simple Roger Ailes (ie Nixon and Bush media director) would not allow the truth to get in the way of Faux News.
